The internet’s a wonderful place. Full of stunning content on every single subject you can possibly imagine.
When I used to blog about self-development a few years ago, I made sure that I read as much on the subject as I possibly could. I hung off the every word of all of the well known sites and blogs out there.
This time round though I found my self in a different place, reading different content from different people. Maybe it’s because I’m a different person, I’m not sure; but what I do know is that in the last few months I’ve found some truly amazing writers who run some awesome sites.
The list below is what I’ve called 10 Awesome Self-Development Blogs You Should Be Reading and Following. I’ve used the term Self-Development because it fits easily for me but I know that won’t suit everyone. Many of the blogs listed below aren’t even Self-Development in focus, they’re Lifestyle Design blogs, or Personal Development blogs, or Self-Improvement blogs and Meaningful Wisdom blogs.
So really the title of this post should be 10 Awesome Self-Development, Lifestyle Design, Personal Development, Self-Improvement and Meaningful Wisdom Blogs You Should Be Reading and Following but somehow I don’t think it would be a snappy title. Am I a bad person?
So here’s the list of 10 Awesome Blogs. Some are new, having been only running for a few weeks where as others are very well established but I haven’t picked them for the number of subscribers they have or how many posts they’ve written. I’ve included them because they’re awesome and the make you think, which is what any good blog in this particular area of interest should do. So in no particular order….
Insanely Serene is a on going dialogue of Linda who’s is an mission to achieve peace of mind. With an engaging writing style, Linda tackles some thought provoking and challenging topics including Personal Responsibility and Serenity.

You blatantly only included me in this list to get me to comment! And it worked!
Cheers for the mention, Ben. I appreciate it.
A couple of other blogs here that I haven't discovered and will check out, but my favourite is definitely Wake Up Cloud. Henri is an awesome guy and conveys much of my own thoughts.
Ian, I'd never do anything of the sort
but seeing as your here
Serious dude – your site might be young but its a great place to go and spend some time.

Thanks for another honorable mention at the 6aliens blog!
I'm glad to hear you like my stuff. I'm going to head in a slightly new direction with my blog, or I shouldn't say new, just more focused.
Keep on rocken!
Hey Henri
Yeah saw your post yesterday about the refocus. I still think you've got loads to offer with your refocused content – so left you on the list! Wakeupcloud is definitely worth a mention.
I don't know a thing about this blog, but the title and sub copy have me sold. Geeky self-development? Nelia, you've found a home away from home.
And brilliant list, by the way. I look forward to tuning in. Many thanks!
Thanks so much for the mention Ben and great to be amongst such great company! A couple I haven't checked out yet, so I will rectify that now!
Thanks for your support
Nice blogs! I had only heard of Henri's so looks like I have nine new blogs to check out.
Aww, bless you!
Absolutely Wake Up Cloud is worth the mention! It is right up there with Viper Chill/PluginID, Lifebeat and the 4HWW blog in the “Feeds Eagerly Anticipated by Ian” category.
Can't forget those 6 aliens too though. [insert "probe" innuendo here]
Well Ben, it looks as though I have a whole new list of blogs I get to visit now. Thanks! I know of one or maybe even two and will definitely check them out. This is kinda like what I'm doing monthly but with a top ten list.
Re-Tweeting now, man!
Cheers!

Thank you so much for this mention! I have been enjoying blogging so much, and getting to know you through our interactions. What a rich world we're in, whether you call it self-help or self-development or “internal discovery” (per my 14-year-old friend)! Look forward to “meeting” the other bloggers you mention here.
Take care,
Linda

Karen
Hope you get something out of visiting them Karen
Thanks for dropping by
There are aliens to do that. Oh. Wait a sec. 6 aliens…aliens…probes…UH..see you later…I just remembered, I gotta be somewhere… cya.
Ray
Tom,
I am in the same boat as you and will have to check out those other nine and really check out more of Henri's blog.
I think the key thing that sets probably all these self-development blogs apart is their background and how they got from point A to point B.
It's good to know there are some very good personal development blogs out there. Of the ten list you have shared, I'm familiar with only three. Thanks for this list. In my pursuit for growth I want to learn from people who have gained a lot of wisdom in life.
Hey Walter
Great to hear that you're going to go and check out some great blog to help you grow. I tried to pick some new blogs as well as some up and coming sites.
I think that the key to awesome (that is, the key to becoming self aware, and empowered and amazing) lays within many truths.
Great content on here, and an enjoyable read!
Thanks!
Glad you’re here
