Seeing as this is the Matthew Needham week here on 6aliens.com, I thought I’d round things off with a selection of my favourite posts from Matthew’s site The Big Red Tomato Company
Matthew is a great guy with a passion for helping others, including me, to achieve their dreams. He’s a good friend and I have no doubt that he will make a great dad to his baby (when the little one finally arrives!!!!)
So here we go….hold on to your hats.
Struggling with your goals?
We all find achieving our goals a real challenge at times don’t we? Often it’s easy to find excuses that help us move away from that challenge and bring us back into the comfort of our lives. This great post is the perfect motivator for anyone finding that they’ve hit a bit of a brick wall.
The truth is, if you don’t know where you’re going how do you know if you’re going to the right place? Too often the goals we are pursuing are the wrong goals – ie they don’t take us towards achieving our vision.
Pay your self first and other money lessons
Many of us see the value of providing services that generate money away from our current employment, either through personal ventures or activities online. Matthew’s post here is a fantastic resource of advice and ideas.
Millionaires typically save around 20% of their income. So once you’ve got into the habit of saving a regular 10% of your monthly income each month, you need to look to ways to increase this to 20% of your monthly income.
How to set up a Mastermind Group
I’ve recently finished reading Jack Canfield’s The Success Principles and one of the topics discussed really stood out to me – that of Mastermind Groups. In response to a reader comment, Matthew put together this great post looking at how to create your own group to help propel you to further success.
Don’t ask people just because they are the same as you. Get together people from different backgrounds with different opinions who will challenge you and not just agree with you.
Matthew’s a great person to follow and learn from. Why not follow him on Twitter or sign up to his RSS Feed.
He has also just released a fantastic new ebook called Achieving your dreams the Tomato way. It’s brilliant and at only $59, a bargain for this amazing self improvement resource. Check it out here.

Great week worth of resources and articles, Ben.
Matt is indeed a great guy with a solid hat on his head for business. It’s a pleasure conversing with him and I am sure that your readers have learned a lot from him, too.
So, its Michael Jackson week, next week then…?
Have a great weekend with the tribe!
Chris
Thanks for that Chris! Maybe it’s Chris Ducker week?
Maybe it will be Matthew!
Great to have you here Chris.
Matthew is always an absolute legend in my book but today he has surpassed himself! He sent me an article this morning that has just clicked everything into place for me. Just thought, seeing as this is MN week, a little bit of woo-hooing wouldn’t be out of place
As for the post (the reason for a comment really, sorry) I’ve read the one about paying yourself first but not the others so thank you for sharing your favourites.
There’s one on his place today that’s not too shabby either
Have a fab weekend,
El
Thanks Eleanor! Glad I’ve helped you get some insight!
This is a great idea for a blog post, it’s inspired!
Today’s post is excellent!
Matthew is a great guy isn’t he El? And also a top business coach
Mastermind groups are critical. Going all the way back to the days of Napoleon Hill, you can easily set up a close-knit group of people that are all willing to work on a single cause together and solve a person’s problem as a team.
I thing being part of a network and building teams is a one of the most important things that a small business owner can do.

Joshua, you’re asbsolutely spot on here. In fact I devote a whole section to them in my workbook.
Mastermind Groups can really help bootstrap results.
A mastermind group is something that really makes a difference doesn’t it Joshua?
These are all great posts he’s done. I agree that you should find people who truly challenge your thoughts and ideas. Agreeing with people is great but a change in ideas is a good way to get to the next step most of the time.
That’s the great thing about being in this space of personal development Eric. There are always people who will challenge your thoughts and ideas.
I particularly like the “Pay your self first and other money lessons” post. It’s very timely as I have a number of issues related to the topics mentioned in it.
I’m glad it was of help Julius
