Before I crack on with some great new posts next week, I wanted to follow on from the review of some of my favourite posts from Wednesday and focus today on the video posts that I have created for 6Aliens and other blogs on a variety of different subjects.
I really like doing videos because its more aligned with my speaking and training. I don't feel I'm quite fully myself on video yet but I know that will become easier in time. It's a bit different for me to be in front of the laptop rather than a room full of people but hopefully you have gained something from seeing them.
A Review of 6aliens.com – The #7links Challenge

Some readers may have seen the 7 links challenge floating around the blogosphere in recent days. If you've not heard of it, the 7 links challenge is the brain child of ProBlogger's Darren Rowse with the aim
to create a list post that highlights some of the posts in your archives to new readers (a sneeze page), that links out to another blog and that hopefully is a little fun (and not too much work) to do.
Seeing as I've not had a review post on 6aliens.com for a while, I thought this would be a great way of sharing some of my favourite posts that you might have missed over the last 8 months. I hope you enjoy this reflective look back over the archives as much as I have.

Achieve your dreams the Tomato Way!
Posted by Ben Lumley on Jun 21, 2010 in Goals, Productivity, Success, Think Differently | 24 comments

So this week is a little bit special. I'm not writing about a specific topic but rather a specific person and that person is Matthew Needham. Matthew is a fantastic guy who runs an awesome site called bigredtomatocompany.com. The posts this week will all be about Matthew. On Wednesday I'll be featuring a Success Interview with him and Friday's homework will be a round up of my favourite bigredtomatocompany.com posts written by the man himself.
For today however I want to tell you about something really really cool. Over the past few weeks, while making preparations for the arrival of his first baby, Matthew has been putting together a fantastic new product designed to help you achieve your dreams. It's called Achieving your dreams the Tomato way.

For this week's homework I want to reach out to all the bloggers out there. I know a lot of you in the 6aliens.com community have your own websites where you discuss topics ranging from Outsourcing to Fencing.
If you do have a website or blog and it's a part of your business this video is for you. Gary Vaynerchuk has quickly become an authority on new media and how to use the web to leverage your brand. This is a great video that will speak to you on many levels.

A key part of self development is reflection. By looking back on where you've come, what you've learnt and how it has effected you, you can move on confidently with new tools and strategies to produce consistent results in the future. So let's look back now and see how far we've come.
The Process
Over the past 4 weeks I've taken you through a simple process that has included the follow areas.
- Working out what you want
- The Power of Goal Setting
- Getting Motivated
- Taking Action
- Working with Beliefs and Visualisation
- And Dealing with Problems
Make a Change – Start taking action now.

"A truly committed decision is always followed immediately by action. Unless you take action you haven't really decided." Tony Robbins.
So what have we achieved so far? We began by figuring out what all the things in life were that we wanted to have or achieve, then we focussed some of them down in clearly defined goals that would empower us to follow through and turn our dreams into reality. Last time, we got ourselves motivated and excited about our new goals and looked at how we could be pulled towards achieving them. In essence, what we've done so far is to make a clear and definite decision. But what next? Read More
